The Bugatti Veyron
The Bugatti Veyron is a world record holder for being the fastest street legal car in the world. The car was manufactured by the French automaker and Volkswagen AG. It has an 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine. This engine was based on Ferdinand Piech's desire to build a supercar with over 1,000 horsepower.
Veyron was first displayed in concept form at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1999. After this, it was put into production. The company produced 450 units between 2001 and 2015. There are several versions of the car. Each of the models has a unique look and features. One of the most popular versions is the Bijan Rashidi, which has a distinctive colour scheme. In addition, the vehicle has a custom monogram on its front grille and wheel arches.
Veyron also has an impressive braking system. These brakes are a combination of cross-drilled carbon fibre reinforced silicon carbide composite discs and radially vented discs. They feature eight-pot front AP Racing calipers, a six-pot rear caliper, and an anti-lock braking system on the handbrake.
The braking systems on the Bugatti Veyron are considered some of the best in the world. A dual-clutch gearbox transfers the power of the engine into the road. With a maximum torque of 922 lb-ft, the Veyron's acceleration abilities are unmatched. Despite its weight, the car is highly responsive.
The braking system has an active rear wing that allows the car to decelerate to over 2 g. A set of 380mm - diameter - and 38 mm - thickness - ceramic discs are used for both the front and rear. All of these were pioneering technologies in the automotive industry.

Veyron's cooling is also very important. The Veyron uses a total of 10 radiators. Each takes 15 hours to manufacture. Two of the radiators are for cooling the engine, one is for air-to-liquid intercoolers, and the final radiator is dedicated to differential oil.
The Veyron is built in Molsheim, France. The company was acquired by Volkswagen in 1998. During that time, the company drew on experience from other industries to build this supercar. From aircraft engines to space travel, Volkswagen/Bugatti understood what was required to produce a supercar at extreme speeds.
Veyron is available in two versions, the original model and the Grand Sport edition. Both are built on the same platform. However, the Grand Sport version has a few modifications. For example, it has small refinements to the running lights, and a targa-top is included.
As for the official country of origin, it is not known. However, the company has stated that the car was designed in Germany and has a manufacturing facility in France. Most of the parts were designed from scratch. Unlike other cars, Veyron is all-wheel drive.
Veyron's earliest prototypes were actually a test mule for the final production version. The first production example was a re-imagined version of the original concept, with minor exceptions. Other concepts were also developed. Some of the early ideas included a three-bank W18, but these were never released.
